This charm is also known as the Summoning Charm. Accio is Latin for "I call" or "I summon." It allows the caster to summon an object over a significant distance. There are two ways of using this charm: by casting the charm then naming the object you want to summon or by pointing your wand to the desired object immediately after saying the charm. For both cases, the caster must concentrate on the object he wants to summon else the charm will be ineffective. Furthermore, it is not required that the caster know where the target is located.
